Stern Warning about Tree of Tranquility

Although it is frustrating to be prohibited from publishing an internet guide myself for 'Tree of Tranquility' as I wrote the Official Strategy Guide for BradyGames, it is not right for players to copy information from my guide to send to IGN or other internet sites for publication!

Is it too much to ask in view of all the free internet guides I have written and posted that players refrain from plagiarising the one printed guide I wrote?

I obviously believe in giving as much access to information as possible to players but it is rather shameful when some one copies the guide verbatim and then sends it out for publication under their own name.

Well, I am not going to belabour the point...

Oh no! I can't believe people are trying to plagiarize you... that's very upsetting. You have written so many guides, all of which are perfect (at least in my opinion), so I guess it's only natural that someone with that much information will get plagiarized. I'm sorry it happened. I'll let you know (since I visit sites like that regularly) if I catch anyone else in the act.

Freya, that's appalling. I've used your guides since my Friends of Mineral Town days and have always been impressed with their thoroughness and helpful tips. I have a lot of respect for the work you put into your guides and your games, and I sincerely hope IGN/Gamefaqs etc see to it that the cowardly (and lazy) offender is duly reprimanded!

Thanks, guys, for your support. Fortunately, IGN recognised my style immediately and the guide did not pass inspection in this case. It's annoying though that the 'writer' didn't even rewrite the information in a different form. It was copied verbatim from my guide.

Incidentally, some one pointed out a typo in the printed guide in the Recipe section. I don't know how that happened. Bad editing on my part. I had completed my Recipe list in my game, and obviously Cheese Fondue requires Cheese. As far as 'Grape Cocktail' is concerned, that was the name of the item in the build I played. Many items were changed in the final version of the game. Brady published the guide PRIOR TO the final retail build. I never had a chance to see it before publication of the guide... One reason I like internet guides is because I can update them as changes occur.

Thanks to the player who pointed out the typo about the Cheese Fondue.

P.S. Rice is listed properly as a single harvest crop in the guide. There is another typo that lists Pumpkin as a multiple harvest crop in the Items list but in fact it is given correctly as another single harvest crop in the Calendar section of the guide. I wish I had been given more time with the guide... what else can I say?
