Marriage to Shea in Island of Happiness

********************************************************************

I feel that I have neglected one of the most colourful characters in Island of Happiness in the person of Shea, an eligible bachelor if your character is a girl.

If you are familiar with Peter Pan, you will understand what I mean when I say that Shea could be one of the 'lost boys'. Raised in the Jungle by a tribesman named Wada, he speaks a dialect of his own and his greatest interest in life is hunting.
Although you can find both Shea and Wada at a few of the festivals, on the whole, they live apart from the rest of the community.

It was when I decided to experience marriage to Shea that I discovered how different his ways were from those of the others. Marriage in Island of Happiness usually occurs at the Church in the Forest with the Harvest Goddess bestowing her usual blessing afterwards by tolling the bell. Marriage to Shea, on the other hand, occurs at Wada's hut. Wada presides and your character must drink a 'sacred drink' to become part of THEIR tribe before the marriage will be judged complete.

In the course of drinking the 'sacred drink', your character will display the skull that signifies poisoning and will fall to the ground briefly. She does recover, however, instantly and is able to assure Shea that she has not suffered any serious effects.

The proposal event is hilarious actually. Shea does not understand the significance of the 'Blue Feather' and asks if you can give one to Wada as well. Wada responds by smacking Shea! Once Shea realises that you are proposing marriage, he is thrilled and accepts with alacrity. As with other weddings, the marriage will occur a week later... In fact, Shea is proud of himself when he is able to tell Wada that the wedding should occur in a week's time. 'Oh, I know this one!' Shea exclaims happily, 'Will have ceremony in ... a week?' Wada then asks how long a week is, forcing Shea to admit that he too is ignorant of that little detail. Shea asks: 'Is it two tomorrows? Four tomorrows?'

Even if you do not wish to marry Shea on a permanent basis, every player should experience his events once.

One more time: Rules for Heart Events and Rival Heart Events

This information is given in ALL my Courtship and Marriage Guides for every Harvest Moon games, but in the past month while I have been away from home, I received 1000 emails with game questions and many of them ask the same questions about Heart Events, so although this subject is covered both in my guides and in earlier posts on this site, I will deal with it once more.

There are two kinds of Heart Events in Harvest Moon games: Heart Events and Rival Heart Events.

Heart Events occur between your character and eligible girls or bachelors and when your character responds correctly, advance YOUR courtship. Rival Heart Events are events that occur between the eligible girl/bachelor and your rival. Your character is not involved in those events actively but simply witnesses them. When triggered, rival heart events advance the courtship of your RIVAL.

The usual number of Heart Events in a game is 4. The usual number of Rival Heart Events is 4 as well. In most cases, all four Heart Events can be experienced in the first year of gameplay, provided you have reached the minimum heart level required for each.

Heart Events usually occur at the following heart levels: Black, Purple, Blue and Yellow. The eligible girl or bachelor must be at least at the required heart level in order to trigger the Heart Event. If he/she is at a higher heart level, you still can trigger the Heart Events. In other words, you can have the eligible girl/bachelor at deepest red heart level (60,000 AP) and STILL experience all four of the heart events, including the Black Heart Event.

YOU MUST EXPERIENCE ALL FOUR HEART EVENTS IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO MARRY A GIRL/BACHELOR. You can propose to any girl/bachelor if you have the Blue Feather, but YOUR PROPOSAL WILL BE REJECTED EVEN AT RED HEART LEVEL IF YOU DID NOT EXPERIENCE ALL HEART EVENTS WITH THAT GIRL/BACHELOR.

All heart events must occur in the proper order. It is impossible to 'miss' any heart event! You can experience them in ANY year of the game. My guides tend to give the earliest possible date at which any Heart Event can be triggered but you can experience ALL of them later... No time limit for heart events.

All Rival Heart Events, on the other hand, cannot be experienced in the first year. Harvest Moon games tend to load the deck in favour of your character, giving you at least four years to win the hand of the girl/bachelor before there is any threat from a rival. The first Rival Heart Event can occur in the first year, even in the first week of the game, but the second Rival Heart Event cannot occur before the beginning of the second year. The third Rival Heart Event cannot occur before the beginning of the third year and the fourth and final Rival Heart Event cannot occur before the beginning of the fourth year.

It is only the Fourth Rival Heart Event that will kill your chance of marrying an eligible girl or bachelor. If you experience the Fourth Rival Heart Event of any eligible girl or bachelor, their marriage will occur a week later.

That is written in stone. Experiencing the first three Rival Heart Events, however, will not prevent you from marrying the eligible girl/bachelor. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO, TO PREVENT THE FOURTH RIVAL HEART EVENT FROM OCCURRING IS TO RAISE THE HEART LEVEL OF THE GIRL OR BACHELOR TO RED. ONCE ANY ELIGIBLE GIRL/BACHELOR IS AT RED HEART LEVEL, THE FOURTH RIVAL HEART EVENT WILL NOT TRIGGER.

Why should any player wish to experience rival heart events? Well, one reason is that every event gives the player points towards his/her Farming Degree level. Another reason is that you only can marry one eligible girl/bachelor in any Harvest Moon game. If you wish to allow the other couples to marry, you need to experience all four of the Rival Heart Events in order to trigger their wedding.

Remember: all four of the Heart Events can be triggered even if the eligible girl/bachelor has reached red heart level. The colour designation of any Heart Event simply represents the minimum level at which that event can be experienced. The colour designation of the Rival Heart Events, on the other hand, represents the MAXIMUM heart level at which that event can be triggered.

Heart Levels in Harvest Moon DS and Cute DS are:

Black Heart: 0 to 10,000 AP
Purple Heart: 10,000 to 20,000 AP
Blue Heart: 20,000 to 30,000 AP
Green Heart: 30,000 to 40,000 AP
Yellow Heart: 40,000 to 50,000 AP
Orange Heart: 50,000 to 60,000 AP
Red Heart: 60,000 AP and above

In most cases, the Four Heart Events correspond to the following levels: Black Heart or 1st Heart Event; Purple Heart or 2nd Heart Event; Blue Heart or 3rd Heart Event; and finally, Yellow Heart or 4th Heart Event.

There is one exception to this in Harvest Moon Cute DS: Skye, a maverick where any rules are concerned, is the only bachelor with five heart events. He therefore has a Green Heart Event that occurs at 30,000 AP. His Yellow Heart Event is his 5th and Final Heart Event.

The rules concerning the requirements for heart and rival heart events actually follow logic if you think about it. A Rival Heart Event shows that the eligible girl/bachelor is interested in the rival. If you have brought the girl or bachelor to deepest red heart level, he/she no longer will have ANY interest in your rival. You can sit back and relax, concentrating only fulfilling all the other marriage requirements and making certain that you experience all the Heart Events for the girl or bachelor you wish to marry. Red heart level simply means that the heart of the eligible girl/bachelor is yours exclusively. It does not mean that your proposal will be accepted.

For example, in most Harvest Moon games, you must have expanded your house twice, have the bachelor/girl at deepest red heart level, experienced all the Heart Events and have purchased the Big Bed as well as the Blue Feather in order to be able to propose successfully to the man/woman of your dreams. In Harvest Moon DS and Cute DS, there is an added requirement: you must have rescued 60 Harvest Sprites, thereby automatically rescuing the Harvest Goddess. Without the blessing of the Harvest Goddess, NO marriage can occur.

My Heart Event and Rival Heart Event Guides, otherwise known as the Courtship and Marriage Guides, include individual sections for each of the eligible girls/bachelors in any Harvest Moon game. In these sections, you will find a list of the likes and dislikes of that bachelor/girl, the Most Favourite Item (gift with the highest value in terms of boosting heart level) as well as a complete schedule of all Heart and Rival Heart Events for that girl/bachelor. A section at the end of each of these guides includes the text of every Heart and Rival Heart Event. The reason I do this is to allow a player to make certain that all the events have been experienced. Some players become confused between Heart Events and Rival Heart Events. If any doubt exists, all the player has to do is consult the text section of the guide.

One final point should be mentioned concerning the Blue Feather. In many Harvest Moon games, the Blue Feather usually becomes available when at least one eligible girl or bachelor reaches Orange Heart Level or 50,000 AP. This is not a high enough heart level for marriage, however. You still have to increase his/her level to red before your proposal will be accepted. If you have not experienced ALL Heart Events, your proposal will be rejected even at red heart level until you HAVE experienced all Heart Events for that girl or bachelor.

Skye is the only bachelor who has a Green Heart Event. For most eligible girls or bachelors, no event will be triggered upon attaining Green Heart level or 30,000 AP. This often is forgotten by players, as all other Heart Events simply require an increase of 10,000 AP. Going from Black to Purple is an increase of 10,000 AP. Going from Purple to Blue is another increase of 10,000 AP. Going from Blue to Yellow, however, represents an increase of 20,000 AP. Going afterwards to Red Heart level is another increase of 20,000 AP although, once again, there is no Orange Heart Event. What is triggered at Orange Heart Level is the ability to acquire a Blue Feather, a necessary accompaniment to any marriage proposal.

There are Harvest Moon games that do not follow this system strictly but most of them do. If you have any further questions, feel free to send me an email or post a comment here.

Good luck with your courtship of the girl or man of your dreams!

Only Three Heart Events in Boy version of Boy & Girl

Ultimately, the only way truly to know something is by personal experience. After I experienced the Blue Heart Event of the eligible girls in Harvest Moon Boy & Girl, I raised them to yellow heart level and then waited in vain to experience another Heart Event... Gradually, their heart levels climbed higher. When Ann reached orange heart level, I decided to test a theory. I purchased the Blue Feather from the Supermarket, raised her heart level to deepest red, then proposed to her. (I had no intention of saving the result, by the way. I still need to experience the Starry Night Festival with each girl.) Ann rose faster to red heart level probably because of the extra events she has, such as her Birthday Party Event, rather than any personal preference on my part.

In any event, she responded to my proposal with the words: Really? Are you sure you want a girl like me? You won't regret it later? ...I... I'm happy... but...

What was that 'but...'? Whatever it signified, she had taken the Blue Feather and, a week later, our wedding took place at the Church. In time-honoured Harvest Moon fashion, then, Ann asked me to choose a nickname and our married life would have commenced, except that I reloaded my game back to the eve of the Starry Night Festival, single once again.

No need now to waste any more time hitting all the likely spots for a fourth Heart Event for any of the girls. I do believe, however, that there are four rival heart events and, when I decide if I wish to marry any girl and which one I intend to choose, I can lower the heart levels of the others to experience the two remaining rival heart events and marriage of the other couples in this game.

Incidentally, in HM Boy & Girl, you can raise either any eligible girl or bachelor a full heart level or more in a single day provided you have sufficient 'Most Favourite Items' to squander in this pursuit. Unlike HMDS and HM Cute DS, where only the first gift will raise AP, in Harvest Moon Boy & Girl, every item given in a single day will have an effect, although subsequent gifts have less value than the first item given. Now that I know there is no fourth heart event, I can propose to all the eligible girls, apart from Karen, successfully before the end of the first year if I wish. The only reason one cannot marry Karen in the first year is because her Third Heart Event cannot be experienced before Spring of the 2nd year. (Perhaps I should see if I can marry her without ever experiencing that event...) It therefore very much IS possible to marry a girl in HM Boy & Girl before the end of the first year.

The Delights of General Conversation in Harvest Moon

*******************************************************************

Players who are unfamiliar with Harvest Moon may not be aware of the incredibly detailed landscape in which they find themselves. Dialogue is part of gameplay and indeed speaking to individuals is vital in terms of unlocking events. Giving items that the individual likes is very important as well, but beyond that, there is a wealth of information, both important and completely frivolous, that can be gained from general conversation. Often you will gain information about history or individuals from other towns... you may gain important information about the man or woman you love. Sometimes, it is nothing more than highly entertaining.

Whenever I purchase or acquire a Blue Feather, I show it to every one possible in order to experience their responses to it. I am not speaking of eligible bachelors or girls here but of individuals in general, from the elders of the village to the resident Harvest Sprites.

Here are some of the Forget-Me-Not Valley individual responses in Cute:

Valley residents:

Ruby: Oh, a Blue Feather! How romantic. Good luck!
Lumina: Oh, are you getting married? Invite me to the wedding!
Hugh: Whoah, what a pretty feather! Will you give it to me? Oh, you won't?
Muffy: A Blue Feather? You're proposing, are you? Who are you proposing to?
Nami: Hm... You're proposing? Good luck.
Nina: Long ago, my husband proposed to me with a Blue Feather. Good luck.
Galen: I used to spend a lot of money on Nina, too. Do your best.
Celia: You'll be fine, Freya! Good luck!
Flora: How romantic. Please do your best.
Cody: You're going to propose? i don't know who it is, but be strong.
Patrick: Congratulations. Who is he?
Kassey: You want to marry me? If you insist! What? That's not what you meant?! You're going to dump me and marry some other guy?! Who is he?!
Sebastian: congratulations! To who...? Oh, pardon my rudeness.
Romana: Ho ho ho! Don't mock me.
Van: Will you be selling that? Hm? Keeping it, are you?
Takakura: So you've finally decided to marry, eh? Then the ranch's future is safe. Good luck!
Mukumuku: Mofaaa! Mofa mofa. Mofa!
Hardy: What is this? Are you proposing to me? Ha! You must be joking.
Daryl: What's this? A Blue Feather? Not interested...
Murrey: Where do birds that colour live? I wants to see how they taste!

Visitors from Mineral Town:

Ann: What?! You're getting married? Congratulations!

Harvest Sprites:

Paige: This is a Blue Feather. You should give it to some one you love.
Sammy: Oh! A Blue Feather! Who are you going to give it to,Freya?
Gigi: Oh! Freya, that item you've got is so cool!
Yacht: I hope some one special will give one to me one day, too!
Fry: I've never seen that before! How pretty!
Riviera: It's a Blue Feather! This Feather is full of wonders!
Fisher: Freya, you're supposed to give this to some one really special to you!
Rod: You're giving it to me? Freya, you know I can't marry you. I can't take it. Freya, I understand what you're trying to say. Thank you!

The interchange with Kassey is almost a little event in itself. The same is true with respect to the dialogue with Rod of the Fishing Team. Marvelous Interactive, the company that creates Harvest Moon, never ceases to amaze me with its attention to detail. Natsume, in patiently translating the game into English for us without sacrificing any of the thousands of wonderful details, is equally amazing.

So many games cut corners. When Peter Jackson made 'King Kong', EA games produced a game but in their haste to bring the game out at a time that would capitalise on the interest in the film, they produced a shoddy game that only served to disappoint fans. (I am not obsessed with King Kong myself, but it is a good example of a game that sacrificed quality in order to have the earliest possible release. Many game producers force the release of new games at the Christmas holiday season in order to maximise sales, to the detriment of the intrinsic value of the game. Fans of Harvest Moon sometimes are impatient with Natsume when delays are announced with respect to the release of a new game, but I would rather wait and have the best possible game in every instance. You can't have it both ways, and every Harvest Moon game is a gem.)

The Secret Life of Harvest Sprites

We know quite about about Harvest Sprites, from the Sprites in 'Save the Homeland' and 'A Wonderful Life' to the Legendary Sprites of Mineral Town and the 101 Sprites of Forget-Me-Not Valley in Harvest Moon DS and Cute. We know, for example, that every Sprite is unique in his dreams, ambitions and taste, but ALL Sprites will respond positively to a gift of flour. The 101 Sprites of Forget-Me-Not Valley operate in Teams run by Team Leaders who are larger than they and not quite as cute in appearance. Each Team Leader has a very unique personality of his own. Some are friendlier than others. Some can be rather forbidding until you make friends with them.

We know from HM DS and Cute that Sprites are not created in adult form but begin their lives as babies. In fact, there appears to be an orphan Harvest Sprite baby living in the large jar on the left side of the Sprite Company Tree. Baby Sprites love sweets and many of the same dishes that appeal to human babies, but there is one significant difference: Baby Sprites have magical powers! When you have given 255 gifts to the Baby, he will offer to grant little wishes.

Harvest Sprites are addicted to catalogue shopping evidently and the items that they buy are extravagantly expensive and completely impractical. We know this from watching the Harvest Sprite Outlet on television. Sprites do not use Gold as currency. They have their own currency of Korobos... Human beings never will be able to acquire a single Korobo, no matter how friendly you have become with your local Sprite population.

Catalogue shopping is nothing new for Harvest Sprites. They have been shopping in this fashion for hundreds of years. You could watch the channel in 'A Wonderful Life', wishing sometimes that you could buy one of the preposterous items being offered there. 'Shocking, dismaying catalogue living' appeals to the Sprite mentality...

Harvest Sprites can be extremely lazy or very industrious, depending on their level of training and level of friendship with you. The Legendary Sprites could become adept at every type of farm activity, but the Forget-Me-Not Valley 101 Sprites are very specific in career choice and apart from some situations, will not work outside their area of expertise. There are Sprites outside the official Watering Team who will water your fields, for example, but that is one of the exceptions to the general rule.

What is the Secret Life of Harvest Sprites then? We know where some of them live, but we do not know HOW they live. Do they have wives?

Well, apparently, there are Sprites who marry and even share the human tradition of the Blue Feather in terms of Marriage Proposals.

Show the Blue Feather to Yacht and he will tell you: 'I hope some one special will give one to me someday.'

Sprites do not accept the Blue Feather from humans, however, so it must be another Harvest Sprite that offers it traditionally. If you attempt to show the Blue Feather to Rod, he will exclaim: 'You're giving it to me? Freya, you know I can't marry you. I can't take it. Freya, I understand what you're trying to say. Thank you!'

Perhaps the tradition of the Blue Feather is a fairly recent one for Harvest Sprites, as in 'A Wonderful Life', the three Sprites simply fought over it as a pretty trinket, without ever mentioning any potential use for them in terms of marriage...

Another aspect of Sprite life is television in general. Some Harvest Sprites in the Valley proclaim themselves addicted to regular weekly programmes... So there may be a few 'couch potatoes' among the Harvest Sprite population.

Triggering Skye's Marriage Proposal Event

XXX OOO XO XXX OOO XO XXX OOO XO XXX OOO XO XXX OOO XO XXX OOO XO

When you have Skye at 60,000 AP or higher, you need not propose to him at all. Simply having the Blue Feather in your rucksack automatically will trigger the Marriage Proposal event! The logic of this is clear: he is coming to your house to STEAL the Blue Feather away from you. This is what he states in the event itself.

Skye is not motivated by greed or a desire for profit. The reason why he plans to steal the Blue Feather from you is his fear that you will use it to propose to some one else!

It is only if you have the Blue Feather in your Rucksack, however, that he will KNOW that you own one. If it is in your Tool Box, the event will not trigger. If you attempt to propose to Skye yourself by flourishing the Blue Feather when you meet him anywhere in the Valley, he will say: 'Are you gonna give your love to some one else, Freya?'

This is a hint, of course. Skye fears a rival for your affections. Rather than accepting your marriage proposal if you display the Blue Feather on the road, he immediately will leap to the conclusion that you intend to propose to another.

He therefore will come to your house and leave one of his signature notes, telling you of his plan to visit you to 'steal your heart'.

In fact, it is the Blue Feather that he plans to steal as, beneath all his bravado and easy charm, Skye considers himself to be a 'no good thief' without any value as a spouse. It is up to you to convince him otherwise.

This is the stuff of classical romance. In fact, there are many courtships in Harvest Moon games that depend on your ability to boost the self-esteem of a bachelor. In Mineral Town, there is Cliff, a boy who is painfully shy and who is consumed by doubts and the tragedy of his past. There is Grey, staggering beneath the burden of his grandfather's high expectations and his own desire to create something worthy. Marlin is tormented by the spectre of his physical weakness and his need to prove himself a 'real man'. Griffin and Carter both are very conscious of their age and fear that you would prefer a younger man...

Skye's lack of self-esteeem will not be manifested until he reaches a fairly high level of affection. His Chick-Beam always is at hand to protect his freedom should you decide to side with society against him. In his Yellow Heart event, he will be surprised if you choose to support him against your neighbours, allowing him to escape.

Whether or not you flourish the Blue Feather in a meeting with him, the presence of it in your rucksack will trigger the Marriage Proposal event, provided Skye is at 60,000 AP or higher...

Having married Skye, I forced myself to reload the game BEFORE the Marriage proposal Event occurred and then stored the Blue Feather safely away in my Tool Box to prevent the event from triggering again at this point.

I still meet him on the road at night to give him a gift so that he will not lose heart... when I have experienced all the Mineral Town Heart Events, I will return the Blue Feather to my rucksack once more in order to trigger Skye's Marriage Proposal Event...

It is VERY difficult to continue my single life now, knowing that I could marry Skye simply by placing the Blue Feather in my rucksack again...

I have to remind myself that my primary duty in any Harvest Moon game is farming not romance, but the endless cycle of feeding and caring for my many animals day after day while awaiting the Starry Night Festival is onerous when all I can think about is SKYE!!!

With the Big Bed comes the chance to Propose...

***********************************************************

On Monday, 26 Autumn of my First Year, Thomas delivered my Bed Bed to the farmhouse at 6.00 a.m. He embarrassed me somewhat when he asked, 'Hey Freya! The Big Bed that you ordered was just delivered. What do you plan to do with such a huge bed? Are you living with somebody?'

How very RUDE!!! And he's the Mayor of Mineral Town??? For shame!!! He then apologised, but the damage was done.

To be honest, however, nothing could dampen my spirits. I wasn't about to settle for any one less than Skye, but I certainly had every intention of going through a 'dress rehearsal' of a marriage proposal with each of the Valley bachelors. One after another, I displayed my Blue Feather and catalogued their responses...

For the sake of other girls, of course, so that they will know what they are taking on if they choose any of these guys for better or for worse.

I have a daily gift-giving routine and I followed the same routine as I made my round of proposals. Rock was first on the list because I always Teleport first to the Inn to give gifts to any guests and then all regular residents.

Rock was typically disarming, telling me that even if he lived with me on the ranch, he couldn't imagine he would do any work. When we told his mother of our plans to marry, she was blunt in her assessment of her son as fairly worthless in terms of husband material. I was a little taken aback! You could see that beneath her very unflattering declarations, she truly DOES love him though. As a matter of fact, it is said that sons are created by their mothers so if Rock is feckless and lazy, it has to be Ruby's fault! Nonetheless, he is a loveable guy and I know he'll never lie to me.

Griffin was next on the list. He was almost pathetically grateful to me for choosing him as a husband. There is something deeply romantic about Griffin, beneath his rather matter-of-fact exterior. I have to say that, as I experienced his heart events, I developed a rather profound affection for him. That doesn't mean I am willing to choose him over Skye, but...

In fact, Muffy was so sweet about our engagement announcement that I never could marry Griffin after THAT. She deserves to have some happiness and it is obvious to me that they belong together.

So off to the Yurt next to propose to Gustafa. As I might have expected, his talk was all of his songs. He sees me as his source of inspiration now. There was absolutely no inclination on his part to offer to HELP me on the ranch. Where Rock actually appeared to be slightly apologetic about his inability to work, Gustafa appears to believe that his music places him high above ordinary mortals who must work with their hands to live...

Nami can have him, with my blessing... Although he did say he didn't need to travel any longer for inspiration now that he had me as a source, I expect he and Nami are better suited to one another. To be honest, I would have been more inclined to keep my engagement with him if he had suggested that WE travel somewhere together. What does he think, that I don't want to see the world??? Does he imagine I have no sense of adventure? Yes, I work hard and care about the success of the ranch, but I long to see the wonders of the world as well!

After Gustafa, I popped into Vesta's farmhouse to propose to Marlin. What an odd event that turned out to be! He showed me an expression that almost put me off for life, it was so peculiar. He looked like a character out of Dickens, cringing and looking up at me with his head cocked at an odd angle. Marlin isn't a bad guy, once you know him, but I would have to make him promise never to show me THAT expression again if I were to marry him.

It was what happened when we visited Vesta to tell her of our engagement that the event became truly bizarre. Vesta began to threaten him with GBH should he ever behave badly towards me!!! I mean, we're talking about Marlin here. It was rather hilarious in a way. I have to believe every one was teasing him. A beating from Vesta would kill him in his delicate state of health!

Seriously, though,

Finally, I visited the tent to propose to Carter. Did I write about his fourth heart event, when he became as drunk as a skunk, took me down to the beach and told me I was the light of his life??? I never knew HE was such a romantic. When I proposed to him, however, his primary concern was the difference in our ages. Rather tactlessly I thought, he pointed out that he was old enough to be my father. I tried to tell him it didn't matter, but when we announced our engagement to Flora, her responses made me realise that marriage to Carter was out of the question for me, even if it would save him from a life of Curry! Flora was almost nasty to me, and she always tells me I am her best friend... I can see how long THAT would last if I married her darling Carter... So that's another engagement that will be broken.

In any case, I am off to experience Skye's 5th and Final Heart Event. I shan't marry any one immediately in any case. I want to experience the Starry Night Festival with each and every one of the Valley bachelors. Moreover, I yet have attained marriage eligibility with any of the Mineral Town bachelors. I expect it will be Spring before I am free to marry my sweet-talking Skye.

N.B. The full text of all Heart Events and each Marriage Proposal Event will be found in My Courtship and Marriage Guide for HM Cute.
